Faiz Syed, President & CEO

Faiz Syed founded Paxterra Solutions Inc. in late August 2007 and is the President & CEO. Prior to starting Paxterra Solutions Inc., Faiz was leading a 200+ employee test organization at Juniper Networks Inc. as a Senior Director, Engineering. The organization spread across US, India and China focusing on Firewall, Intrusion Detection and Prevention, Anti-Virus/Anti-Spam and Enterprise Routing Products. Faiz was at Juniper Networks Inc. for a period of 2.5 years. Prior to Juniper, Faiz spent around 10 years at Cisco Systems starting as one of the first set of engineers to define testing strategy for MPLS working closely with industry leading architects. Later Faiz led a large test organization focused on MPLS and Network Access Service Technologies as a Senior Manager. Before Cisco, Faiz was a software developer at Stratus Computer Inc.

Faiz has extensive experience in customer and field relationships management, leading organizations across the globe with a strong focus on delivering products with quality and efficiency. Faiz pioneered in defining Systems Level Testing at Juniper Networks Inc. and was instrumental in turning around the product quality of NetScreen Product Line. Faiz holds a patent in developing an automation infrastructure at Cisco Systems.

Vivek Prabhu, VP, Marketing & Business Development

Vivek joined Paxterra Solutions heading marketing and business development related functions. Vivek has an extensive background in Product Development, Testing, Support and Systems Engineering. Prior to joining Paxterra, Vivek worked at Motorola as the Senior Director for QA and Test Engineering, heading a 55+ member team spread over 5 continents, in the Home and Networks Mobility Group working on the next-generation CATV and IPTV set-top-box. He also was the Director of Test Engineering for Aperto Networks and was responsible for their new product Base Station and CPE attaining WiMAX certification (as the first devices to do so). Before Aperto, Vivek worked at Cisco as the Manager for Software Development for the next-generation OS (ENA later named IOX) for Cisco and led the deployment of this OS on their next-generation CRS-1 Router.
